Long before the Owens Foundation was organized, Mark and Delia shared their African adventures with family and friends via long letters. Before PC's, email, and the internet, they used a manual typewriter and simply used the salutation...Dear Everybody. Arriving home weeks, sometimes months later, the letters were eagerly shared by family and friends who frequently greeted each other with: "Have you seen the latest Dear Everybody letter?"

When the Owens Foundation for Wildlife Conservation was formed, it was only natural to continue calling the newsletter "Dear Everybody Letters". Like unpublished chapters in their books, they are full of touching, true stories...Enjoy.
