9. In 1992, Delia and Mark Owens established the first 'Tuck Shop' in the North Luangwa area. It has grown from a small thatched hut to the "Mukungule Shopping Centre" and offers basic goods for sale to the local people.

10. Because of the pioneering work of Delia and Mark Owens, the people of Mukungule can buy matches, salt and soap right in their own village.
